LAIB 4000:

This component of the study abroad was the most time-consuming but most rewarding part of my experience. I had to complete a 140-hour internship with a company in the country I was doing my study abroad in and write a research paper about a company in the United States that also operates in a Latin American country.

In addition to my virtual study abroad through the Universidad Blas Pascal, I also had to complete an internship with a company in my target language. The company I interned for was Bitsion-Ginkgo Soft S.R.L, a software company located in Córdoba, Argentina. I completed 140 hours of work, from March to June 2021, as a Digital Marketing Intern.

During my time as an Intern, most of the projects I worked on involved a lot of heavy research about the company and the work they do on a daily basis. My role also pushed me to utilize a lot of what I learned from the business classes I have taken at Clemson. In fact, my first assignment was to complete a report about what Bitsion was all about, their strategic framework, business units, services and their clients. Afterwards, I was assigned to carry out a business analysis of an insurance sales platform named 100preseguro.com through the use of the SOSTAC model. Furthermore, I created publications for the insurance company's social media accounts, including Facebook and Instagram, and presented an analysis of these publications to the Human Resource Coordinator, Carina Campo.

While my internship experience was nothing close to normal, I am grateful for the opportunity Bitsion has given me. Not only did I acquire valuable knowledge about Digital Marketing that will come in handy in the future but I also learned to be a patient and balanced student as I also had to complete a separate research paper comparing Unilever in the United States and Unilever in Brazil. This final paper can be found by clicking the Unilever logo to the right, which will directly take you to the pdf file of my completed research.
